Feature: Global, Per-User, and Per-Domain Email Sending Limits
Priority: High

Description

Introduce Email Sending Limits in Eenos to give hosting administrators greater control over outgoing email traffic through global, per-user, and per-domain sending restrictions.

This feature will help prevent email abuse, control excessive outgoing messages, protect server IP reputation, and improve overall email deliverability.

Proposed Features

  • Global Email Sending Limit: Configure a server-wide default hourly outgoing email limit applicable to hosting accounts and domains.

  • Per-User Email Sending Limit: Allow administrators to set custom hourly sending limits for individual hosting users, overriding the global default.

  • Per-Domain Email Sending Limit: Configure individual hourly sending limits for hosted domains, allowing more granular control over outgoing email activity.

  • Email Usage Monitoring: Track outgoing email counts and display current usage against configured limits.

  • Automatic Limit Enforcement: Restrict additional outgoing emails when the applicable sending limit is reached.

  • Administrator Management: Provide centralized controls to configure, modify, enable, or disable sending limits.

  • Email Limit Notifications: Alert administrators when users or domains reach their configured sending limits.

Expected Benefits

  • Prevent spam and excessive outgoing email activity.

  • Protect mail server IP reputation and reduce blacklisting risks.

  • Prevent compromised hosting accounts and scripts from sending large volumes of email.

  • Improve outgoing email reliability and server stability.

  • Give hosting providers flexible control over email traffic at global, user, and domain levels.
