I would like to request a native Cloudflare DNS integration for Eenos that allows users to connect their Cloudflare accounts using API tokens and manage Cloudflare DNS records directly from the Eenos control panel.
The integration should automatically synchronize DNS changes made in Eenos with Cloudflare, eliminating the need to log in to the Cloudflare dashboard for routine DNS management.
It would also be useful to have a Global Cloudflare DNS Cluster configuration that allows server administrators to configure Cloudflare as a centralized DNS provider for hosting accounts.
Suggested Features:
-
Allow individual Eenos users to configure their own Cloudflare API tokens.
-
Provide a global Cloudflare DNS configuration for server administrators.
-
Automatically create, update, and delete DNS records through the Cloudflare API.
-
Support common DNS records, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, CAA, and other supported record types.
-
Automatically synchronize DNS changes when domains, subdomains, email services, or other DNS configurations are updated in Eenos.
-
Allow administrators to enable Cloudflare DNS globally or for selected hosting accounts.
-
Support multiple Cloudflare accounts and API credentials.
-
Provide options to enable or disable Cloudflare proxy mode for supported DNS records.
-
Allow users to manage Cloudflare DNS records directly through the Eenos DNS Manager.
-
Display DNS synchronization status, API errors, and activity logs.
-
Support manual synchronization and automatic retry of failed DNS updates.
-
Securely store API credentials and use restricted Cloudflare API tokens.
Global Cloudflare DNS Cluster
It would be helpful if server administrators could configure a global Cloudflare account and use it as a shared DNS provider for multiple hosting accounts.
For example, an administrator could configure Cloudflare DNS globally, allowing websites hosted on Eenos to use Cloudflare nameservers while managing DNS records entirely from the Eenos control panel.
Individual users should also have the option to connect their own Cloudflare accounts when permitted by the administrator.
Why is this feature important?
Many hosting providers and website owners already use Cloudflare for DNS management, security, and performance.
Native Cloudflare DNS integration would simplify DNS administration, prevent configuration inconsistencies, and eliminate the need to manually update DNS records in multiple control panels.
This feature would make Eenos more attractive to hosting providers who want centralized DNS management with Cloudflare integration.
I hope the Eenos development team will consider adding Cloudflare DNS synchronization and global DNS cluster support in an upcoming release.
