Summary:
Please update the bundled NGINX version in Eenos to the latest stable release, NGINX 1.28.2.
Current Concern:
The current NGINX version used in Eenos is behind the latest stable branch. Running an older version may miss important security patches, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Why This Update Is Important:
-
Includes latest security fixes and CVE patches
-
Improved HTTP/2, HTTP/3, and TLS 1.3 performance
-
Better compatibility with ModSecurity 3.x and modern modules
-
Stability improvements and memory handling fixes
-
Long-term OS and dependency compatibility
Expected Outcome:
-
Upgrade to NGINX 1.28.2 (stable branch)
-
Rebuild with existing Eenos modules (ModSecurity, Passenger, PHP-FPM, etc.)
-
Ensure no breaking changes to current vhost configurations
Keeping NGINX updated to 1.28.2 will improve security, reliability, and overall performance for all hosted environments in Eenos.
